Features
Emtex VIP has an industrial strength, high performance, multi-tasking, client/server architecture, processing data at up to 10,000 pages per minute. This enables a print center to produce electronic documents and drive multiple printers simultaneously using a single point of control.

Emtex VIP is designed around an expandable modular architecture that can grow with the needs of an organization. Modules are selected, as required, to build a customized solution from standard components, in order to exactly meet customer requirements using one solution.

Core Features
Emtex VIP core features include; a real-time executive, transform manager, job queue manager for load balancing and print management, resource manager, and accounting manager. Emtex VIP comes with a powerful GUI and a viewer for document proofing, page selection and reprint confirmation. The core also includes the connectivity manager to receive jobs from virtually any source including Mainframe, UNIX and PC environments. Emtex VIP also allows multiple simultaneous outputs from a single input.

Transform Architecture

Emtex VIP provides a comprehensive transform engine that converts all the common PDLs into Emtex's virtual format (VDD) and then outputs to a wide range of printer and electronic formats. Transforms are text/vector-based and are performed in real-time.

The basic VIP System requires at minimum one input selection, the core system and one output device.

Optional Emtex VIP modules or upgrades include:

• Indexed Reprint Module - enables the reprinting of single documents or mail pieces within a print job to any printer. Indexing is possible on control records (DJDE comments / ACIF NOP and TLE records) or data elements within the jobs itself (account number, name, ZIP code, etc.).
  
• Archive and Internet formats - dynamically output documents to internet-ready format e.g. PDF, TIFF, and XML.
  
• Data Pass-through - manages print data without transforming the input into virtual format.
  
• Automated Reprint Manager (ARM) - automated reprint triggered by 3rd party integrity system.
  
• PDF Security - for the encryption and password protection of PDFs
  
• Remote GUI - allows control of print management at remote locations.
  
• Development Station - permitting applications to be tested and proofed offline.
  
• Hot Standby License - in case of hardware failure, a full backup system of Emtex VIP is available.
  
• SCSI Tape Support - for LCDS and AFPDS job submission and output.
  
• Stand-alone Viewer - Jobs can be stored in VIP native format(VDD) on CD-ROMs for job archive and reprint.
